  1.                   MANDELBROT/JULIA SET GENERATOR, Version 4.0

  3.     Congratulations, you have a trial shareware copy of the MANDELBROT/JULIA 
  4. SET GENERATOR. If you decide to keep this program in your software library 
  5. you should support the author and register your copy. The REGISTER.DOC file 
  6. contains a registration form which you should use.
  7.  
  8.     The MANDELBROT/JULIA SET GENERATOR program and files are compressed in a 
  9. file called MAN.EXE. To install the files on your hard disk (drive C:), insert 
  10. the diskette in drive A: and type the following:

  12.         C:                        Select the C: drive
  13.         CD\                       Make sure you are in the root directory
  14.         MKDIR MANDEL              Create a directory called MANDEL
  15.         CD\MANDEL                 Change to the MANDEL directory
  16.         COPY A:*.*                Copy all files from A: to C:\MANDEL directory
  17.         MAN                       Decompress the files (about 600K bytes)
  18.         MAND40                    Run the program
  19.  
  20.     The instructions for using the MANDELBROT/JULIA SET GENERATOR program are 
  21. available from within the program. Simply click on the Help button and use the 
  22. up/down arrows to find the command button you need help with.

  24.     A hard disk is almost a necessity if you wish to store additional image 
  25. files, however you can decompress the MAN.EXE files to a second floppy drive. 
  26. An example is A:MAN B:, which would decompress the files from A: onto a floppy 
  27. disk in drive B:.

  29.     The MANDELBROT/JULIA SET GENERATOR requires a VGA display and a mouse to 
  30. operate.
